I also have DC-1 and have been using for a few months. The change in behaviour of drivers when I have it on is marked. I've suggested to friends they paint a toilet roll black and strap that to their hats.

I've also uploaded a couple of incidence of really bad driving to the local police - who have used them to issue a warning letter / fixed penalty. It's an automatic system so if you have the number plate and fill it in - the fine goes out (I guess it helps police stats which is why they are happy to do it). I have to use a short bit of 50 mph road to access bridleways and I want that road to have a reputation for fines !!

I use a Techalogic one, and it definitely brings results, especially since I wrapped a couple of fluorescent hair bands on it (you can buy coloured end caps but why spend the extra?).

There have been 3 lots of cautions/points issued after I've reported people for really serious incidents, including one bloke who was so angry that the police had visited him, he stopped me on the road and got out of his vehicle to have another rant at me - all caught on camera ...

However, personally I find the Techalogic to be a bit heavy, and it would definitely be an issue if you fell off onto it. I prefer my tiny Muvi camera which clips onto a hat band or your clothing, and is a fraction of the price of the Techalogic. Problem is, the battery life is only around 1 houron the Muvi, whereas the Techalogic is around 2.5 hours if you don't have Bluetooth turned on.

The other thing I've noticed from other people's Techalogic footage is that they rely on the rear view camera catching incidents (or perhaps are conscious that if they turn their heads they won't catch it) rather than actually looking around themselves to see what's coming from behind. Too late at that point.
