This is about my daughters 14'3 sec d, brief history, 6 yr old had him a year he has always fence walked a bit in the field and taken a few mins to settle in his stable when 1st brought back in from field. Cant go out by himself but a happy boy and very kind to my daughter

Last tue they moved fields from a field with nothing to a field with grass but not a huge amount. He seemed fine but on friday she could not lead him in we swoped and she lead my mare and I took him, he was "wild" eyes on stalks cirlcing around me. She was due a lesson but her instructor said he was to wild to ride she used to stable her horse on the yard for a year so knows him well. So we lunged and he seemed to settle. Then back in stable he was bouncing off walls and walking around not settling at all to eat his hay. wee and poo'd as per normal. YM checked during night and he was fine as per himself

Sat comes in not happy but a bit more settled, again YM checked him 9pm ish and as per norm

We have checked temp all ok, eating, drinking wee, poo all normal

Just very very sweaty when comes in and not happpy

Ideas, help etc - thanks sorry so long but wanted to give as much info as poss

can you change fields?
Obviously unhappy about something whilst being out, no point in pushing him and upsetting him more.

spring grass! are horses just changed fields too, to give the land a break and sat up on my super quiet tb and he buck leapt and napped his way around the arena! everyone thought it was quite entertaining that mr. goody 2 shoes was acting up! :D id say he'll settle down once he gets used to it! i wouldn't worry!! ;)

Spring grass can be very short of magnesium--causes problems sometimes for newly lambed ewes and lactating cows going out to grass.

Trying a syringe of eg Nupafeed may just help to see if this is the problem

I do remember many many years ago being regularly bucked off my horse in spring time until he was 'fit' then all seemed to settle down!!
