Im 15 and ive been riding since i was about 5 and up until recently bad behaved horses or falling off hasn't affected me one bit. But then i rode my friends horse, they told me he could be a bit stupid but i didn't mind id dealt with that before, i understand the reason he first bolted and bronked (he was spooked) but once i got back on and rode round he bucked me straight off again. I tried to get back on but i hurt my shoulder and hit my head and the owner thought it best i didnt ge back on. So the next day i was determined to get straight back on, we rode round and did a bit of cantering and then out of no where he got me straight of this happened a few more times untill his owner sold him. Since then i havent been the same and i lose my confidence very quickly, and this isnt good considering my own horse is usally bad behaved (before i wouldnt care). Has anybody got any advice for me. Thanks :D x

Lessons with a good, sympathetic instructor would help with both your confidence and your horse's behaviour;)

Otherwise, don't keep trying to do too much each time you ride - keep each session short and quiet, stick to a walk if necessary until you feel safer, maybe do more in the school instead of hacking out.

I would agree and it will take time but nothing like good instructor to help you through this.

p.s. that pink is SO hard to read! Can you choose another colour?

Go and have some lessons on a schoolmaster at a reputable riding school. Then when you feel really good about your riding again have regular lessons on your own horse.

Good luck! I know how you feel. It is very easy to lose your confident but can be very easy to get it back too.
