Can folks educate me on both pairs dressage and dressage to music.

Our RC has decided for something different for our last show of our winter dressage series. We are considering running a dressage show with either pairs classes and/or dressage to music classes. I will sorting out either the training prep for our members for above and possibly the show

I know nothing about either so can anyone tell me the basics of what both are about, what equipment is needed/best for the music.... well really anything significant and useful.

Thanks in advance

music licensing regs can be problematic which is why you don't get that much run and most require those competing to be BD music members for PPL.

Official RC pairs require most of the test to be ridden as a pair and I think under 5 min but the rules are online, not that you would have to stick to them.

with regards to music you really do need a reasonable sound system because its a pita if you are riding and can't hear it as you cannot tell if you are ahead or not!

Thanks Ester - beginning to think the music licensing regs may be the issue, as our RC happy to get a PPL for the show day as long as reasonable £ but if the competitors needed to be BD music members then that probably will kill it. Pity

Pairs likely to be easier!

Thanks for your reply
