Ok, so my horse has has a lump on his back for ages, back man said it is nothing to worry about.
He got injured and had months of box rest = horse putting on weight! When he was ridden again, hair rubbed off. (Still not bothered by it) i think due to the extra weight saddle has rubbed, and know lost weight so no further hair loss, and scabs have been covering it. (Scab, that were just like a thin layer of skin) Healing??
Tonight scab falls off while im grooming him, and out comes puss. Clipped hair from around it so it could be cleaned better, and squeezed all the puss out.
But what do i do now? Dont want it getting infected ect. I know i wont beable to ride, but i am not allowed to lunge him, due to the injured leg. So when would it be ok to ride? Is there anything i could put over it to stop infection?
Here are the pics...
After it had been cleaned..
To show size and location of it..
Did post about the lump before, and others said it was due to sweating?
Ideas??
