Hey there, I posted a thread about advice for putting a bridle on my horse, he recently refused to have me put the bridle on.

While, I have had dentist and vet out now, he's in perfect health, so I think something has happened when a friend tacked him up, or he's just being daft.

Any advice on how to approch this?

I had a similar problem with mine when he was a youngster. Try un-doing the cheek piece on one side then carefully slide the bit in. You'll find it easier than trying to hold his head down, holding the briddle & opening his mouth all at the same time. I also dipped his bit into something sweet and sticky.... honey/syrup, molasses whatever is handy. A few weeks of this & he'll associate his bit with something tasty. Good luck
