help ... after almost a year off....

i am getting back on board after almost 12 months off, is there anything i can buy to give my horse to calm him down when i get on maybe the first time or first few times
other than relaquin or sedaline??? i know of nafs magic but wondering what it was like ???

why not sedalin? that's what I'd give, it's a drug and it works well, anything else is a hit or a miss. I've wasted plenty of cash on so called calmers and the only thing i'd use if my own safety was at stake is sedalin!! Vet's would be happy for you to use it for this reason too, presumably you'll only be walking anyway.

We have just been doing exactly this, given to a horse that has been on 4 months box/small paddock rest 2/3ml to start walking him out under saddle. He was perfect the first 3 times and I made the mistake of thinking he was OK, didn't give it last night and he was semi wild! Back to sedalin tonight.
