Help and advice needed please--sorry a bit long but please bear with m

We have been away in Oxfordshire (in our caravan) over New Year. On New Years Eve I took my dogs for a fanatastic walk along a bridle path I found and both dogs were having a great time. Ok so far....
That evening as Me and Oh were getting ready to go out I fed the dogs and Jess (collie x) was very quiet and refused to eat her dinner..
We were only going a few yards away to our party so we left the dogs, but I kept popping back to check on Jess.
She was just very quiet but nothing else to see.
At 6.45 the next morning we were woken by Jess vomitting everywhere.
Anyway we kept her quiet for the rest of the day. I phoned my vet and the local vet but they said to just keep an eye on her.I obviously didn't feed her on Thursday but made sure she was drinking. She went to the toilet OK.
On Friday I offered her breaksfast and she wolfed it down. We packed up and came home and Jess ate her dinner with her usual enthusiasm so I thought "great. Whatever it was she is over."
However yesterday (Saturday) she only ate half her breakfast and refused her dinner again. No more vomitting, poos just a little soft but not runny. On her walk was her usual manic self, runninhg round everywhere, chasing her ball etc.
This morning she ate her breakfast with enthusiasm.
Has anyone any ideas what could be wrong? I will take her to the vet tomorrow just for a check but in the meantime I am obviously a little worried.
help and advice please and wine and jaffa cakes for reading this.
 
I would imagine she's picked up something delicious to eat on her walk. If she's pooing then she's not got a blockage and if it's slightly softer that usual she probably has a bit of an upset tum. If she's herself in every other way then I wouldn't worry, just keep her on chicken and rice for a few days but pop her to the vet for a check over just in case.
 
Without going into more serious causes, it could be something in her internal body-system, some hormone or similar, that is higher one day and lower another? Something like a cold-bug that is/was upsetting her stomach and/or appetite, and then disturbed the bacterias in her intestines? Maybe she loses her appetite when she feels her stomach doesn't feel the way it normally does?

Have you been near a river or lake with her? We live by the river in Oxfordshire and a few months ago my dog had similar symptoms; the vet said that it could be leptospirosis contracted through the infected water (either drinking it or paddling, if she has any cuts). She had antibiotics and it cleared up fine.
