Hi. My nearly 24yo was diagnosed with Cushings over Xmas and is on 1 prascend with his levels okay. He lives in a field by himself, although can see other horses and is a bit stressy to ride, although I now have him on magnesium. Today I was brushing his never ending moulting of hair, and he started acting hysterical. By the time he was seen by the farrier we thought he'd end up having a heart attack - she actually said she'd never come across a horse as old as him acting like this :/. He was a right pain to trim, but luckily she is lovely and very understanding. Question is, does anyone know if this could be to do with Cushings or the fact he needs to move to somewhere with other horses that he can physically touch? I've been looking today for places but they appear to be quite far and few between.

Feeling a little upset today :(

Thank you :)

He was just highly fidgety - his neck muscles were working overtime (he has motor neurone aswell, so you can see his neck muscles tighten), he was all tense but dancing around on the spot and then started digging the ground. It was like he was struggling being tied up to be brushed etc. I can't explain if too well but it was literally like he had lost the plot :/

Afterwards when I released him, he galloped round the field a couple of times and settled. He was then okay when I saw him a bit later :/
