Due to the funny smelling Hi-Fi Lite that's about at the moment I have just been advised by the shop to buy the senior instead as it the nearest thing and is about the same.
I was in my lunch break from work and in a hurry so as a quick explanation I have come away with the senior, but now looking on Dengie website it's got a few more differences than I thought - will it be OK?
My horse is 28 and so far not been on any senior feed. He is a good doer and struggles to keep the weight OFF not like some seniors! He's not laminitic but obvioulsy I am aware he cold be a prime candidate due to age and his build.
He is 15hh, cob (cleveland bay x), still in light ridden work (up to an hour a day mainly hacking)
Notice that senior has alfalfa not straw and little bit of molassas rather than sugar. I can't introduce gradually as have no lite left as new bag smelt reeeeally nasty.
He only has half scoop twice a day plus handful of saracen cooling pencils.
Should it be ok to feed him? (am having little panic attack now!!!)
