Well I have recently just purchased a chestnut tb mare called Gucci. She originally came from ireland and has been left unnammed on her passport. She apparently has some good blood lines but I couldnt tell you if they are or not. haha.
I'm looking sat how names for her as I dont want to call her Gucci and was looking for some ideas.

All I have came up with is the designer lady. The lady part I took from her mothers name of lady's island.

So come on guys any suggestions welcome.

Snap - except i have a gelding. He came with only a chip number. I followed the lines back down on his mothers side (as that is where the breeding came from).
Lady is nice. I got the dictionary and thesaurus out for alternatives to the usual words.
Are you going to register her new name? Is she with the Irish Register?
If so you have to think up 4 names to choose from, as others may already have it - i have got 2 so far and i've owned him narly 6 months lol

Good luck!

Dont know if I'll register the name as im only doing little unafilliated stuff at moment. Got to phone the passport people and see how much it will skin me to do so. As I know it will be a fortune as its a weatherby passport and both tb registered parents that have raced.

OUCH! mine is £45 which is not horrific - that is to put me as owner and add a name!
let us all know what you decide on! :-)

well i like very frenchy grand names.
im planning to put my mare in foal to grafenstolz and its a must to start with G

Grande Finesse ( my favorite! will probs use this if its a filly )

Well I phoned them up this morning to get a transfer of ownership form and get a few questions answered with her being unnamed etc.
Well least the transfer of ownership is cheap :P To get her name added to passport I'm looking at £141.50 and when I want to breed from her its £89 to regiester her as a broodmare as well.
