Sadly we have to sell our Welshie so i please need some help with his advert........ going to try on horsequest first i think.

Stunning 15hh Welsh Section D, 4yo, Chestnut Gelding Flaxen Mane and Tail. Good breeding.
Fabulous paces, scoring 66% in first dressage outing, been placed every time out in show ring, qualified Equifest and PUK.
Bold scopey jump, competed SJ,WH and XC schooled showing lots of potential.
Very willing and genuine for age. Suit competent rider to fulfill potential in any sphere. Excellent to hack out alone or in company, good in traffic. Good to catch, load, pair feet. Lovely stable manners, pleasure to be around. Sad genuine sale, owned since foal so 5* home wanted for future star. Videos available.
£4950 ono.

What do you think? enough detail? what do you think of price?

Haven't looked through all the pics (at work

) but the first one is stunning

. But it's 'pare', not 'pair' when you're talking about feet

Oh, and if he does jump (and would do M&M workers or whatever) then a jumping pic would be a v good idea

Top photo is good, and yes if you can get a good jumping one too that would help.

Advert sounds good. Only thing I might change is 'good breeding' to 'from XXX lines'

Price - not a clue about the breed and what such types fetch. Sounds possibly on the high side but if he is true to type and with a good temprement then I suspect he will be worth it to a welsh enthusiast.

yep, jumping pic would be good, obv with knees together etc! or, a good side-on conf shot for the showing peeps. both if pos.
I think i'd put "trim feet" instead!
i'd mention his breeding for those who might want to know, or that'll be the first thing they'll ask. i try to put as much as pos in ads on Horsequest, since you can!
i'd prob put the size of fences you've been xc schooling over, jumped clear sj round etc, just to give more of an idea. if he's v honest and loves his jumping, never had a run out etc, i'd put that too. has he been through water? is he ready to go to small hunter trials etc? would he do Intro/PN eventing? all worth mentioning i think.
v best of luck, he's gorgeous, hope you find a perfect home for him.

Thanks will make sure put his breeding in advert, have his passport at home so will look it out.

I have no idea on this breed and pricing either they vary so much in adverts i've seen, the judge at weekend commented he was very true to type and a very good stamp and he truly is a lovely chap but don't want to price him out the market.......

thanks

I think you'll sell him pretty quick!! He's lovely and I like the advert. If he is good to do, honest and well put together he is well worth the money.

I perfer the second or second to last of the bulk of photos as he looks more active behind in these. He's not tracking up in the one you suggested so I don't like it so much. Have you got any jumping ones? A jumping one would be great. If you'd done a how much I'd of said £4500 so I think your price is about right but be prepared to take offers in the current market. If you advertise on horsequest then take advantage of thier pedigree box to show his breeding. I'm sure he'll get snapped up very quickly

ok will attempt good jumping shot, might get friend to come xc schooling to get him over xc fence as well as SJ.
will put his breediung tree in horsequest as you can do that can't you.
Jumped round 65cm sj happily so could add that and like to take him to ODE at Eland in August, he'd go round Intro size by end of season i reckon with right rider.
thanks will fill it up a bit more with details, like you say as can include lots might aswell save on questions being asked over phone.......

You may have already, but if not, please do not forget to contact the photographer regarding using the photo in any advert, as the copyright will belong to them, even if you have purchased a print.

Ooooh he is lovely. I'd have him! Our boy was pretty similar when we bought him 10 months ago. He had just done more dressage and not so much jumping competing and was 5, not 4. We paid £5250 for him. Possibly on the high side but he has loads of potential to excel at dressage. I think your price is fair as he is stunning. Good luck, I hope he goes off to a lovely new home.

How about?

Eye catching 15hh Welsh Section D, 4yo, chestnut gelding with flaxen mane and tail. Excellent breeding from xxx line.

We have owned xxx since he was a foal - he has a superb temperament with lovely stable manners and is a pleasure to handle both at home and at shows.

He has fabulous paces, scoring 66% in his first dressage outing, and has been placed every time out in the show ring - qualifying for Equifest and Ponies (UK) in xxxx class.

We have taken him to show jumping, working hunter and cross country competitions where he has really enjoyed himself, showing a bold, scopey jump - plenty of potential for M&M workers or riding club team jumping.

He is a charming, willing horse who would suit a competent rider to fulfill his potential in whatever sphere you choose. He is excellent to hack out alone or in company, and is very good in traffic. Despite his age, he is a great confidence giver and always tries to please.

He is good to catch, load, travel and with the farrier.

This is a very sad sale, as we have owned xxxx since he was a foal so 5* home wanted for this little star. Videos available.
£4950 ono.

I would use one of the trotting pics, and also get one of him standing side on with no saddle on. Include a jumping one if you can get one that is good enough - don't use anything that does not look perfect though!

I think he looks very smart - what a shame you are selling him!!!

Meant to add, with HorseQuest you are not limited really with the amount of words, so refer to your horse by name and make him seem part of the family rather than a commodity item.
