I have a 16.2hh ish filly who is very clicky, in all four legs. I didnt have her vetted when i bought her, stupid looking back i know. She was fine first 2-3 weeks. She now clicks most of the time. Surly this is not right in a 2 year old. I've had he almost two months. Any ideas before I take a trip to the vet. I dont think it is a kick as theres no heat, swelling, and is in all four legs.
thanks

My ponys hind fetlocks clicked like mad when I got him, he was six to eight months old. He clicked like a good un for about a year and then it disappeared on its own. He was never lame or stiff so I put it down to a growing thing. He had been severely starved and was getting over strangles when I bought him and the vet was out to him a few times but he didnt worry about the clicking at all. Hope she stops soon, it gave me the creeps when Paolino was doing it. Mairi.

My horse clicks from her hip, she is not in pain and not lame. This click has been there for a long time, i worried at first but dont bother about it now. The click is some times caused by tendons clicking over the bone, it is annoying i will agree. However if your horse is not lame or in any pain i would not be to worried. By all means get the vet to check, there are lots of horses who click. Remember, creaking gates hang the longest and if it aint broke dont fix it.
