Help - computer whizzers

Sorry to post in this lounge but I thougth I might get a quicker answer. The photo's I want to upload to photo bucket are in TIF and I don't know how to change them. I've just scanned them on to my computer and thats what it saved them as. Anyone know how to change them to jpg or whatever it will accept. I've tried following photobucket info with no luck. I have Windows XP.

The simpest way I know of (but I am not sure if its the best way) is to open the picture on your computer and then do File 'Save As' and then you should find some more options as to the format you want.
 
Didn't have a Save as option. But I have just done it by publish this file to the web option with the Wizard. Thank you anyway.

I've been trying all day nearly I am a numpty I need idiot's guides when it comes to computers. HAHA

Thank you for your help though will now try to follow all info put on here by all those clever people to do a sig.
 
Glad you got it sorted. Sorry I should have said that you need to 'open' the picture from within an application eg Paint or something like that otherwise you just get the picture come up and no save options.

I still don't get a (save options) but at least I've got them in the photobucket. Now to try and do a sig. This will probably take a couple of weeks. Ha Ha
