my horse is 15 years old he is an ex racer with a veeeery old tendon injury which hasnt flared up for 8 years since he retired thanks to his injury. i rode him the other day and he was being silly so i put him back into the field and he galloped around like an idiot (typical thoroughbred) then brought him back in and rode again and the girls on the yard said he looked lame in his bad leg (right fore)..... that was 5 days ago now with no heat or swelling..he has however got some heat in his hoof and is only lame in trot on solid ground hes fine on soft and the farrier couldnt find an absess when i called him out after 3 days of him being lame..he has had half a bute in morning and night feed and seems comfortable...
any suggestions? if he doesnt get better by the weekend the vet is coming out and leahurst are expensive
