Any advice?

I use Kevin Bacons which is very good....but it is just not enough.

I am really worried about Digby's feet atm.

Is there any supplements that really work (although i understand that would not be an immediate effect)

Any advice/tips would be great

I found formula 4 feet and farriers did the trick.

I used cornucrescine to increase the hoof growth rate and improve condition.

I also find that instead of going 6 weeks between shoeings in the winter, go 5 weeks between in the summer.

Top Spec balancers, the pelleted ones, are great. When we started using the Anti Lam one on one of our horses even our miserable git of a farrier commented on how much improved his feet were. And that really was saying something!

Ive heard that farriers formula is very very good as my friend used it and really noticed when she stopped.

If his feet are dry i know this sounds silly but water them. Cappellis dodgy leg has been cold hosed so much that her foot on that side isnt as dry as the other.

I have effol but i dont really rate it in all honesty but i like hoof moist as that sinks into the hoof wall and you can see it soaking in. Effol just seems to me to sit on top.

Also what bedding are you usings and how long is digdy in for?. If hes standing on a shavings bed for some time it will dry his feet more than say straw for example.

I have a horse with tremendously crap feet!!

She's been on formula 4 feet for the last 3 months and farrier has noticed a big improvement in growth. I also feed Dengie Healthy Hoof as it has increased Biotin etc.

I also slather on cornucresine 3 times per week and use hoof moist on other days.

Hope you get it sorted out.....

he is not in at all...he is out 24/7 and hs been for a good few months now.

I heard that watering them makes them worse?? As surely when they dry they just crak more?

When i googled formula for feet and it came up with a post on here which swore by the stuff so maybe i will try that. Does anyone have experience with this....and how long did it take to make a difference?

The farrier is coming in a minute so i will ask him as well.

Cornucresin is great stuff, as is Keving Bacon and I swear by both. When D's feet were really bad i used the solid cornucresin and massaged it inot his corenet band with a toothbrush and used Keving Bacon on the rest of the hoof. Also feeding Topspec balancer has done a brilliant job too!
