I am hoping that some of you might be able to help me. Unfortunately one of my geldings cannot be turned out with or next to mares and needs turnout in groups of at least 5 and preferably more as he is much more settled with this arrangement and can become quite possessive if only in a small group or pairs etc. He also needs a larger yard – not less than about 15 horses and preferably more. Trying to find somewhere is driving me bonkers to be honest. In view of his ‘special needs’ I will consider travelling and will consider almost any area of north west kent. I don’t need it to be posh or fancy, I can do basic, as long as it is fundamentally safe. I do need large size boxes due to the size of my nedz. Also need all year turnout with adequate grazing & safe fencing.
Turnout in groups ideally between 5-10 (more than 10 would be considered but less than 5 would not). Boys & girls turned out separately.
Reasonable access to off road hacking.
NORTH WEST KENT AREA
Please post or PM me with any ideas. Any info very gratefully received.
Thanks.

Where in NW Kent ?

Honnington in Tunbridge Wells used to have separate mare/gelding turnout and turnout in herds, although it was some years ago I was there. Hacking is good too.

The ideal place would be Sevenoaks but I could consider spanning out from this area by about 1/2 an hours drive. I haven't tried Honnington yet, I was hoping that I wouldn't have to go out that far but if I don't find anything I may have to. Thanks for your ideas and if anyone else has got any suggestions please post or PM me.

Riding Farm in Hildenborough ?

There always used to be lots of ads for yards around Borough Green in Freeads, or you could try contacting Sevenoaks Riding Club to see if they can help.

I had mine at Honnington, Bedgebury and yards around Marden ending up in one at Paddock Wood before I moved down to Somerset.

Good luck searching.

Thanks Zandp. I rang them today. They turn out mixed herds there so no good for my boy unfortunately.

Have you tried the Old Mill Equestrian Centre, near Swanley Village? They used to be a huge yard and had separate herds, but I haven't been there for about 8 years!

Hi, thanks Fransurrey. I haven't been there but I have looked on their website and it says that all their boxes are 11 x 11. This would be no good for my two big boys. Thanks anyway.
