I am in Spain and trying to register my UK horse trailer, Ifor, 511 and the guys here want a document 'like the caravan touring document'.
Now I haven't lived over in the UK for a LONG time and don't know what you guys have to do to circulate with a trailer there. The trailer was a present and came over here in 2008 and/9 and doesn't have any such thing.
I am going to contact the dealer and see what they say but you guys are quicker and usually know much more!
Thanks and a mojito to all who want one!!!

Trailers arent registered seperatly over here apart from to prove ownership via a private company they have the vehicle number and become part of it when conected to the tow car for insurance purposes
if you buy a trailer over here you get a bill of sale (invoice) and you have a numberplate made the same as the tow car and thats it... maybe ifor williams could help with the rules to getting it registerd over there???

I'm in France and had the same problem. We moved here in 2007 and brought the trailer with us. I contacted Ifor Williams and they couldn't help as A) I had no proof of ownership (bought at auction hadn't kept receipt ) and B) according to the serial number my trailer was too old to "qualify" whatever that means.... Here you need that documentation to be able to register the trailer. If you haven't registered the trailer you can't get a number plate ( which is a different number plate to the one on your car/towing vehicle), and if you haven't got the numberplate you're driving around illegally. To cut a very long story short, we ended up taking it back to the UK (had to take a load of furniture anyway )(praying we wouldn't be stopped in France and fined!!!!) and gave it to my daughter and son in law to sell on Ebay, as there was absolutely no way of getting around the problem and getting the trailer "legalised" over here.
I know you're in Spain but I suspect it's the same there, so sorry to be the barer of bad news, but can i have my Mojito anyway please :-) !!
