I know this will sound odd but I'm getting a bit of an attitude problem when it comes to riding my horse and I need some help. I know I can ride but I have begun to doubt myself so much when I ride him that I can't progress. My confidence seems so low all the time and I have stopped being able to go out and enjoy myself. I used to jump but now for no real reason am too frightend to try and it's starting to get like that with hacking and other elements of riding, at times I don't even want to go in the school. I am willing to try anything but I think it's a mental problem and wonder if anyone knows of a good sports hynotherapist I could try in the Bucks/Oxford area?

Totally recommend it - got me from hyperventilating over a teeny cross-pole to comfortable jumping 90cm at home & my first local comps.....know lots of people on here have benefitted from it.

Another who would say TFT, sound odd and cannot explain properly how it works but it does. I was becoming very anxious about sj some two years ago, had one TFT session and was and remain sorted. Give Jo a call or email her she is very approachable.

And I'd highly recommend Jo Cooper and TFT too - marvellous it is - don't ask how it works - it just does!

I have a friend who does hypnotherapy and EFT which is the newer version of TFT and very very effective. She specialises in riders too and does help over the phone as well as in person. PM me for her details.
