help!!!! dressage......

im doing my first dressage test on saturday and im reli scared cus i don't know much! when i go in the arena do i have to trot round first and wait for them to tell me to start like jumping or do i just go in and start my test straight away????? thankyou

Trot round the outside..... and wait for either a bell/buzzer or car horn (dependent on how they are doing it) then start your test..... remember to smile going up the centre line and breathe!! Good luck

The judge will beep their car horn when you can start, I think it is 2 mins you have to warm up in when you get in the arena. You can walk around if you want you do not have to trot (I don't think).
 
thankyou so much!!! i prob will walk cus my horse gets really excited! its only a novice walk and trot test but she will prob try to canter!! thanks
 
You should enter the arena within 45secs of the bell to start the test, most people trot as you tend to have to enter the arena in that pace and by trotting round first you can get a nice trot established for when you start.
