Hi I have never really done any shows before but my daughter has got a pony and she would like to do some. I found 1 but its this month and we have a lot on this month and wont make it. Where can i find some advertised our local tack shop doesnt have any show schedules in at the moment. Any ideas?
Thank you

Which side of Aberdeenshire. The moray end there is shows at Faraway Equestrian (near huntly). Then if you come slightly into Moray there is Strathisla Riding Club (events held either at Buckie or Knock, Nr Keith) look on their website www.strathislariding.co.uk or the is Waulkmill nearer Aberdeen/Fraserbutrgh way (I think, never actually been). Have a look at British Riding Clubs Website as they have a list of local riding clubs which will all hold shows - there are plenty in the area.

Hopes this helps

What kind of shows is she after: showing-shows, or stuff like dressage, SJ? Affiliated/unaffiliated? Which area of Aberdeenshire? There's a local equestrian mailing list that gives info on a lot of stuff, including shows, trailers, horses for sale... I can't quite remember how I got onto the list, but probably through riding club or something. Is your daughter a Pony Club member (they probably have a mailing list too)? Sorry for all the questions, but might be easier to help if we knew more of what you're looking for! :)

Ladyleys (just outside Oldmeldrum) has shows every month. The summer dressage league is about to start and the spring Showing show is 8th May. I'm a livery there and have no transport so its the only place I compete at the mo. You can google them for their website and download the schedules.

The mailing list you are on about sounds like Laurie Ingram's emails that are sent out through Ythan Riding Club - my email was picked up through Strathisla Riding Club (because I do there website) but sure they would send it to anyone if you emailed them. It covers shows all around the Aberdeenshire area

It is Laurie Ingram's list! So I'm guessing it was through RC, then. It's very handy!
Hayfield do a SJ league and a DR league (I, P, N), and Loanhead has the Wednesday Night SJ (starts at x-poles, goes up to about 1.10).
