Ok so after nearly hitting the deck tonight (spring grass, high spirits & the sudden appearance of a dog between the boys legs!) it made me realise that I really need to sort out my flexibility issues.
Had I come off there's no way I would have been able to get back on from the ground despite him only being 15.2 and me 5'3 ish - quite shocking & embarrasing really!!
So help me please, any exercises to help a 34 (going on 90) year old regain a bit of dignity in mounting?
(ps this isn't helped by having owned a veteran & virtually not riding for the last umpteen years so I've just had no real reason to try and put my foot that high up in the air ... although i find it rather funny that whilst I'm so good at putting my foot in my mouth that I just can't reach the stirrup
