I am desperately after some advice/suggetsions as to what this could be!
Ever since i have had her (as a 3 yr old-now 5) my TB mare has been extremely muscle bound and has always had two slight raised muscle areas at the base either side of the base of her neck (at the bottom of the big muscle that runs either side). Two vets have just said they are due to her having been a muscle bound youngster and that they will go...guess what.. they haven't!
They are not hard and almost feel like fluidy build ups-my cranoi sacral therpist who treats apple on a regular basis has suggested it could be some form of lymphatic blockage. My trainer has suggested it could also be a build up of lactic acid. I think i am going to get a blood test done as if it is the latter this should show up on test.
Has anyone's horses had this before and how did you treat it??
