3 things really
1) Have ordered the walking poo stain a set of snuggy jams in the sale (in navy otherwise she would kill me) and was wondering whether anyone has had any experience with them. Will they keep her a bit cleaner before a show?
2) Anyone got any tips on how to keep her clean and to get those stains off for when i take the hood off and she will still be green or yellow? Depends what she feels like
3) What size stable is anyone's 15.1/15.2 in would 12 x 12 be big enough?
Thank you XX

Sell it and buy a bay/brown/black/chestnut horse! I have a ginger one and he always "looks" clean!

Nothing seems to stop poo stains, im sure horses with white bits go out their way to get dirty! We have one at work that lies down and uses his own poo as a pillow so even putting a hood on doest help as he has a poo panda eye in the morning! nice!

We have a dun and white cob (with tooooooo much white) he revels in lying in poo! We use cowboy magic sponged off with warm water and it seems to do the trick, however it comes off his clipped bits better than his hairy bits. He is rugged in a fleece at night because he's a hairy beast (traditional)

Haha at glitterfuzz sounds like a good idea used to have a chestnut but have to admit i love her when she is sparkling. She doesn't go out on the trailer anywhere without looking clean. Have a little bit of OCD ;)

I bought a snuggy body this year, they are fairly waterproof. So far it has really helped. Last year her belly and back end would get covered. So far we have only had very minor stains :)

i have had greys for a few years and i am afraid if you have one that is a poo monster not a lot can be done to change them apart from tying them up all night!! however i find that skipping out constantly does help a little bit as givers them less poo to roll in if you are in a position to do so of course! especially the night b4 a show. Also keeping them clipped short will help make the washing off the next day a lot easier as it wil dry quicker and cleaner. You could just get up earlier and do your bathing on the day of the show if at all possible? hoods are great not sure about the ones you have mentioned but if you have a real poo monster she will find a way of rolling so that she has 2 green eyes the next day!! I am not sure if it really works but i have heard that if you put stallion poo in the stable the horse will just poo in one place ( you may have to ask more about that though) but that may be just geldings not sure .Apart from that elbow grease it is I am afraid !

I have a friend who has a grey (White) and she uses a show sheen daily giving him a final rub over (cloth with show sheen on it) last thing when she feeds him. She says the dung no longer gets in grained and brushes off easily, no personal experience I steer clear of greys having had a filthy 12.2 many moons ago!

My grey is disgusting - and hairy! - and a nightmare to keep clean. On a day-to-day basis I use Vanish sticks (no, really!) which are great and actually very gentle on the skin and the coat.

If you've got permanent yellow stains, the only thing I've ever found that gets rid is WOW! Whitener by Healing Tree. It's enzyme-based and also very gentle, and useful in the winter or morning of a show if you don't want to give them a proper wash (similar procedure to Cowboy Magic, although I've never had any luck with that stuff).
