My friend needs somewhere to move her horses, it could be a yard or a field but she needs something very quickly and something that doesn't cost a lot.
We are situated in the north of scotland.
She has decided she is not happy where she is and is so emotional and stubborn at the moment won't listen to reason. She LOVES her horses and enjoys spending time with them but has been really stressed out lately and (sorry everyone!) is especially touchy at this particular time of the month.
She is considering just giving them back to the man who sold them to her!
I've explained to her that even if she did just "hand them and their passports back" she'd still be the legal owner and would be held financially and legally responsible for them.
I've told her that she doesn't have to stay where she is but at least wait for a few days to see what other alternatives are available i.e a livery yard/field to rent. She doesn't want to do this and worries that the cost of a livery yard may be too much for her and just wants to finish with the whole business.
I asked it she would consider giving the horses to me (buy them for a pound) and let me look after them for a while and if she still feels like she does at the moment to let me sell them on for her. She says it's not about the money - the horses are worth a substantial amount with tack, rugs and other equipment! She's not exactly well off and if she would consider selling them she could put the money to good use.
I'm really worried that she WILL go through with this and then massively regret it later but have made her promise to at least wait for 24hrs before doing anything drastic - i'm not even sure if she will stick to her promise.
Please can anyone help?!
