Right! So we're off to a fancy dress dressage comp in a couple of weeks, and am completely stumped for ideas..! So anyone got any fun christmas themed suggestions? Here's a pic of Winston at our last event if it's of any use:

Thanks! :D

Red robinsons excarsise sheet on him, if you are allowed along with the leg wraps. GEt some bells 200 for 99p on ebay and attach to the reins anf on some elastic stretched round his fetlocks. Also get some horse antlers or a green and red browband (add bells as nessasairy)

For you get an elf costume (£5 from asda) and some long stripey socks :)

You as Mary and him as a donkey (which he clearly isn't!)

Him as a Christmas pudding, big white saddle cloth for icing (perhaps embellish it to look more like icing), you all in green with a red hat cover as Holly and berry decoration on the pudding (I nicked this one off Another forum)

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! Yes I do think he's rather handsome but of course I'm majorly biased!! :D

I'm loving the xmas pud idea, especially as he's bay... also that might stand a chance of staying together while we're attempting mediums and simple changes haha! Or possibly the bells/rudolph idea... perhaps the jingling will help keep us in a good rhythm?! :p

Not Christmas theme but at ponies Uk I saw a ice age lots , the pony was dressed as a mammoth (pantomin suit) and every one else one cave people or the other animals from ice age moves (the small child on the pony was the squirrel thing with the nut) made me smile :)

Please can you put Win in this (fourth pic down):

The pony really doesn't look overly impressed.

The Little Mermaid looks cool too though.

Can you imagine trotting down the centre line in that?

Hahah poor Win won't know what's hit him, I reckon that along with my red sheepy bandages might be a step too far for him! I love the scooby doo... and would LOVE to know how they got the hamburger to stay on that pony's head?!

We were going to go as 'Winstaaannn' and turn him into a rasta with dreadlocks etc... but wouldn't have quite the same effect as in the summer when he's completely horizontal! Plus wasn't really very christmassy.. :o

Keep the suggestions coming!

How about 2 of the 3 kings? Could be quite an easy costume! You could attach rubber bands/ties to the crown and put them round his ears to keep them on! Then a nice red cloak! And attach bags of gold, frankincense and myrrh! (sp?) :) x
