Ok so today I bought in my friends horse I'm looking after to give him a groom (was going to exersise but was raining). Anyway after establishing he didn't like being in on his own, I bought in his friend and started to groom him. Here is where I would love any help!!!!
On his back around where his saddle should sit he has funny skin. He still has all his hair only it's all bumpy with loose skin underneith, Like mud fever only I can't understand why he'd have it on his back (or do horses get it on their backs?). He didnt seem bother by me touching it although did role as soon as I turned him out.
Any idea what it is would be most gratefull!

and I am propbably being very thick!
