help:head throwing cob

So, hunni is being good now(touch wood!) and now its mum's cobs turn *sigh*
So the last few days mums rode princess has being throwing her head down and nearly ripping my mum out the saddle! but i've noticed its been since we have put her on Spanish mix(anyone had any bad experience with it?) but apparently its meant to calm them 0.o? btw my mum is a novice and recently started riding after a bad accident!

My cob throws his head when irritated by flies and they seem particularily bad atm...

If not flies I would be thinking a teeth check, then back and saddle if no apparent teeth issues.

I always think that if you've changed something and then noticed a deterioration in behaviour, the first thing you need to do is change back.
