Help help help so much mud

Try and do a little research on cattle field matting - similar to rubber matting but specifically designed for gateways with heavy footfall.
There are horsey variations but as with anything else, equestrian items have a hefty additional price tag! :)

ETA - Quick Google brings up this site, if you scroll down there are some examples. http://www.fieldguard.com/field_path_mats.html

Any chance of taking the shoes off for a rest over winter. Or speak with farrier maybe pads would help stop the suction. Unless you put some hardcore down its going to be hard. I have to wade through a swimming pool of the stuff to get to my horses, access through another persons field. Good luck

Hi, We use road plainings which work quite well, but last month i had another 2 tonne delivered and i laid it in the gateways but this time it has not really settled and gone really hard, im not sure if we put them down to late, they worked perfect on our hard standing in front of the stables they are solid but they were put down in the middle of summer and whacked down. I have now put straw on top of them and just plain straw in the other areas where it gets muddy around the bath etc.
