My Friend is in hospital with a broken pelvis after a nasty fall and I have been left in charge. Her elderly mare had a couple of bumps on her nose last week. I went to HOYS for a couple of days and another livery was checking them, came home to find mare's nose had errupted.
It had treated with sudocrem but looked nasty. I have been spraying twice daily with the hypocare spray it seems a bit better but not much.
After much googling it looks like a bacterial infection, so the question is how should I treat it? keep up with the hypocare? Someone has said sudocrem is best as it also acts as a barrier?
Thanks in advance
