im currently looking for my next horse, after selling my last horse who was a bit much for me
i am looking for the same as most people, so hard to find: a chunky type, 15h+, pref 6-10yrs although would get something a bit younger if proved safe but don't want any older, possibly a confidence giver but dont want a plod just steady and safe with ability to up gears as i hope to do riding clubs, fun rides etc, easy to do and nice temperment

i have £2500 and live in the north east

I purchased just what ur looking for before xmas, i think your budget is far too low. My horse was up for £5000 and i paid a little less.

Safe, younger horses are like gold dust to find and u'll pay premium!

I know a few in the area, but you're looking at 4 - 6k for what you described. Mine's for sale for 2k but she's not a confidence giver, she's not chunky and she's not steady, you have to pay extra for those.

Damn!
If only you wanted a bombproof in traffic 14.1hh 9yr old cob mare that can be cheeky and chuck the odd buck in!
I have one that i am trying to sell but she isn't a novice ride as she knows who she can take the mickey with and who she cant! Once she knows you won't tolerate it she's fine.
I'm only asking £1200 for the above reasons.

So if anyone knows anyone let me know :D

I have just bought what you describe your budget seems a little low. I started looking in July but was very very fussy and picky. But then I have got what I wanted ( I hope it's only been 2 and a bit weeks). He is Irish cob ex hunter 15.3 and 7 dark bay and so far has been an absolute poppet.
