I hope anybody can help or give me some advice! I have a 15.2hh 10yo anglo arab and basically when in the school he seems to have a problem trotting it mainly starts at one corner. He DOES trot but is very head strong and always wants to quicken the pace.. When he does start he just tries to canter wether it's on the spot or hopping rearing and bucking (nothing dangerous) he's had his back checked by chiropractor, his teeth have been done, shoes done and has a perfectly fitting saddle. This behaviour is very new as it's never been as bad before and I have tried professional schooling but she is stumped with him, I'm not ready to give up so any advice welcome! Mainly to teach him to trot and to not be as hard in the mouth as I try to have soft hands and give him enough rein but he will just take legs if I don't keep a good hold. Please nah advice welcome!

Have you had a vet out? Has the school surface altered at all? Is there something in that one corner that is spooking him?

What is he like in the field to ride??? how much manage riding do you do?? what about hacking him?? if the behaviour problem is still the same then i would say there is something wrong!! if its a mare then a hormonal check needs doing but think you need a vet to help here, i may say ulcers?? or have you changed feed, haylage or routine or anything to make him this way. let us know how you get on xxxx
