Help! horse lame

Horse has been out on holiday fro a month and i went up to bring him in and he has a swollen fetlock which isnt warm but is def a bit swollen which runs up the back of his leg to his hock.

it is only marginal but is still there.

He is pretty lame on it altho he doesnt have any shoes on so im not sure whether he is feely from his hoof or esle a strain in his fetlock etc? if it was strain how wud i ttreat it? thanks!

if he was used to shoes he might have sensitive feet, maybe he had bruised his foot from standing on a flint or something. or if he has flat soles like mine this is quite common. when mine had a bruised sole he was quite lame on that leg and had a little swelling but no heat. i put shoes on him and gave him a few weeks rest and came back fine. might not be this ofcourse

Swelling that extends from fetlock to hock sounds like tendons.... if i were you I think i would call the vet as could get alot worse if not treated.
