My boy has had 2 days off after competing ( and winning ) last weekend. Hacked on monday and tues. Got on him today and on the left rein he felt so strange! it was almost like i was on the wrong diagonal, he felt all jolty and not like he was moving forward. He was also a little quarters in in trot on the left rein and he broke to canter on his medium trot, or if he didnt, he reallly bent himself round my inside leg and was drifting left. I cant quite explain it. On the right rein ( his worse rein ) he felt lovely, on his left rein he felt terrible. Canter felt fine other than one dodgy transition.
Decided to get off him, walked him around in 2 small circles, he wouldnt put his RH underneath him, so took his boots off, (WW wraps) and hey presto he looked fine on both circled. Trotted him up, and cant really see anything! Looks level, but not 'right'

Not sure what to do, cant get hold of vet.. its very muddy out, perhaps he has 'tweaked' something - this might be strange tho, but im not quite sure i believe in a horse 'tweaking' himself.

No heat, no swelling, everything feels fine. christ, i cant even pinpoint which leg it is.

maybe he pulled/strained a muscle? could be back related either.. i'd just leave him and see how he is again tomorrow and if hes still a bit off ring the vet/physio!

I would be concerned about the possibility of 'Tying Up', mainly due to the history of exercise followed by rest, and also because it does not seem like a well-defined lameness. Can be tested for with a blood sample quite easily, and carries a good prognosis usually.
