I have a foreign bred horse (Dutch) she has a passport but I no its not her original one it was done in 2005, but her breed papers were lost hence previous owners just applied for a new passport for her.
I have been on NED website but obviously no luck as she wasnt bred in UK, her passport number starts with 985 is there anyone else who has a horse with this as first numbers ? and if so any idea which country or organisation done the chip ?

I managed to trace my horses breeding though her microchip - I basically googled every microchip site in europe - from Europetnet through to Stiching CHIP

If you are sure your horse is dutch - either try the KWPN (who at the time I found not particularly helpful) or the following website

http://www.nrps.nl

The managed to trace my horse for me - she had been registered with the KWPN but it was the NRPS who tracked down her breeding

Good luck -

If I can find the website I looked up the microchip on which gave me the UEL I will post it for you

Just a thought, what numbers does the microchip number start with
