So...i was concerned about the cut on her knee that she did at the weekend...now were on a whole other ball game!!!

So the horse freaked in the wash area last night and her back legs came out behind her and now shes taken 4 huge patches of skin away on the front of her back legs.......

Shes a bit stiff behind this morning but thats about it...o,..apart from the huge chunks of balding flesh! (dont get me wrong, im glad she didnt break a leg!)

Which leads me to this question: Do we think we can grow layers of skin and hair back in four weeks in time for our show!???? - and what will help? The magical yard manager mentioned coconut cream!?

- does anyone elses horses try to cripple themselves before a show or is it just mine?..

:S

Try camerosa, have used it on mine for many years with great success. Will grow the hair back pronto. Good luck with your show when you get there!

Thanks everyone - im deff' not telling her my plans now!! (impregnate - :P *joke*)

I feel better that you think 4 weeks is long enough!!

Don't panic - go to tailgator.co.uk and buy some megatek rebuilder. Rub in daily - Chancer and Cairo got rough 2 weeks before a show and Chancer came in with a 1" wide by 3" strip of hair and top skin missing on his blaze.

Megatek applied daily meant that by the time I showed, you could only see he had been in the wars if you look really closely, within 3 weeks it was completely gone.

Also great if you want to keep manes and tails in tip top condition - I mix it 50 - 50 with water and rub into the root and comb through two/three times a week.

It really is great stuff.
