Help I need FUN things to do in the school

Help I need thing to stop my green 8 year old horse getting board during the winter when we are confined to the school.
We will hack or go to dressage at the week end. We will have a flat lesson one day and a jump lesson one day. Any ideas what to the rest of the week as we normaly hack.

Pole work, free schooling, lungeing, save your weekend dressage for the week, try and jump and hack at the weekends whilst it is light.

I have the same problem and usually do something like this

Monday off
Tuesday lunge
Wednesday Flatwork schooling
Thursday lunge
Friday Flatwork schooling/polework
Saturday hack then 15 mins in school over jumps
Sunday compete (or the other way round if the comp is on a SaT!!!)

I know the feeling!
What about lunging, you could combine the lunging with putting some jumps out on a 20m circle and asking him to jump these, also, when schooling you could do do some raised trotting poles - I do these with my horse, gets them picking up their feet lovely - and it makes them use their behind correctly!

You could try your hand at loose schooling!

i know what you mean, i find schooling on the beach can be fun!! but then you may not have a beach near you! sooo poles, lunging, xc schooling and try riding with other people!! thats always fun xxx
