help! i need tips for winter

about to move to a new yard & its my first winter of owning a horse, have just loaned them before and had others peoples help
what are your tips for surviving the lovely british winter (especially as apparently its meant to be worse than last year!)

My tip for winter is not to think about merely enduring it, but to get on with it and everyday find something to enjoy about it

If it snows get help so you only have to go to the yard once per day... I get a friend to do my horse in the morning & then I do the evening shift.

ohh good idea! luckily if i need to i can walk there from home & someone does live on site so i guess if im desperate i can ask them to help

Buy a head torch. Leave your horse out as much as possible. I work full time hours over 4days so I get an extra day to ride in the week. Keep a kettle at the yard so you can boil water to defrost taps etc.
