So, as a result of riding in the rain and my sheep skin pad getting wet and not drying out fully for a few days on the trot I think it has started to go mouldy :-( I can't see any mould but it absolutely stinks.

I have washed it on the wool wash in my machine with washing powder twice but it still stinks, and my husband is less than impressed with it stinking the car and house out!

What can I do? Has anyone revived one of these before? :-(

Big thanks for any suggestions!

Not sure, is it white? If so would soaking it in diluted bleach remove the smell and clean it then bung it back in the washing machine? If anyone thinks that would be lethal to the numnah please shout..

Woolite.

My dads got a fourskin rug (sheeps skin) and he washes it in the bath with that once a year and its 35 years old and still going strong!
