my mare has been having lameness issues for the past 6months shes had her feet trimmed yesterday i also clipped her feather off and i noticed when she walks shes putting all her weight on the outside off her hoof an her leg goes out to the side her hoof is level i have a really good farrier she also past a vetting a few weeks before she went lame i spoken to the farrier and he he says its her comfirmation but im not 100% about this as nothing was noticed in the vetting an comfirmation an her hoofs where checked by the vet ive had her nearly 3yrs an shes been fine till the past 6months or so any ideas?

If you have had lameness issues for 6 months you should get the vet to have a look. She may be walking oddly to relieve discomfort. You don't say whether its a foreleg or a hind. If she has a bone spavin forming it could be that she is in pain and walks to ease that. Either way, you should get a vet to take a look.

sorry i forgot to state the vets have been out said shes lame due to her having mallenders an when she moves the skin cracks and splits an give her treatment for this shes been living out for the past 5 weeks due to stables being painted an this week ive brought her in an shaved feather off so i could see whats going on its only come about after shes had feet trimmed yesterday ive spoken to the farrier who says its due to her comfirmation which im not 100% about due to not having this issue and having vetting at an earlier date wouldnt the vet have noticed it or the farrier mention earlier on?
