Well, you'll maybe know that I had a nightmare yesterday when Taz's lip swelled up to 3x it's normal size.

It wasn't any better this morning so phoned vet to come out. Ended up having to have him sedated so he could look at it cos it was so obviously painful. Nothing found so think it is defo a bee sting!

So he got a massive dose of anti-histamine. Thankfully tonight it is starting to go down. So relieved that my poor boy has got his mouth back to normal size again.

So stressful!! Especially when the vet is going out tomorrow to do a vetting for me on a wee Welsh Section C that I'm thinking of buying. At least it made me forget about the worry of that for a while

Thanx everybody!!

God, you have such beautifull horses. Will try and post a pic of Taz at some point.

He's an ex-racehorse so has delicate skin so think that's why he's had such a bad reaction to the sting.

He's certainly feeling better in himself cos he managed to eat a bit of my friends fleece top tonight. Joker!!!!

These things look worse than they are! I had a GSD once who ate a bee and got stung, her mouth was so swollen she looked deformed, but she got over it quite quickly.

Glad your horse is getting better now. I keep a bottle of viegar and a tub of bicarbonate of soda in the tack room for stings. "Vinegar for Vasps and Bicarb for Bees!!!) It works on humans too.
