My horse has Laminitis, i've read on a couple of post where people have recommened a book on it. But i can't seem to find the posts. If you could help i would appreciate it. Thanks.

I haven't read anything by him, but why wouldn't you recommend to?

Go onto his website and read some excerpts from his book and articles that he publishes on there. He advocates tendonectomies and hoof wall resections neither of which I agree with or believe are ever necessary. I also don't like the fact that the Laminitis Trust charges feed companies a fortune to get their stamp of approval yet a lot of these feeds contain molasses, when at the same time there are much better feeds for laminitics (Fast Fibre for example) that aren't stamped but people might not use them because they aren't approved. The Laminitis Trust is a charitable organisation and therefore should give it's stamp of approval to any feed that is safe... not just the ones that pay for it!

Founder, prevention and cure by Jaime Jackson (as MrDarcy linked) would be my choice but it is still considered radical stuff and imo if you're going that route you need the support of a good BF Trimmer or Farrier experienced in BF Trimming for founder for a good and healing trim as well as advice on feed, support etc.

To me it all makes sense when you study more about hooves and how they function... Pete Ramey is imo the most owner friendly resource. I always highly recommend his 10 DVD series 'Under he horse' but it is pricey...
