I have a gorgeous lemon and white gelding.

Is he eligible to compete in ridden coloured classes or are these classes limited to piebald / skewbald horses and ponies?

Any help greatly appreciated as I am completely confused over the matter !

By lemon and white, do you mean palomino skewbald like this?

Remember
piebald = black and white patches
skewbald = any colour (except black) and white patches

Does that help? Can you post a photo of your horse?

sorry my pc keeps crashing! isn't he gorgeous and yes I cannot see why you couldn't show him, when you said lemon I actually thought he would be very light and you wouldn't see the patches clearly but he really is lovely. Afraid mine is bog standard but he's a dude so I'll try with the pic :)

Yes you can

Sometimes you see grey (white) horses in coloured classes but actually they were blue and white originally and have gone white with age and now look solid coloured, but because originally they were coloured they are still eligable for the class.

Sorry, I've confused people. This ^ isn't the OP's horse, I just found a pic on google images to try to ask/confirm what colour the OP's horse actually is.

As long as the white markings are above the stifle, then yes and your horse is a skewbald - which is white and any other colour patches. Piebalds are black and white. Good luck and I hope you enjoy your showing.
