I am a silly Mummy! I made a batch of fly spray for my girls and the tea in it has stained Katies feathers brown! Ive just got home from the yard, ive scrubbed and scrubbed, ive used purple shampoo, blue shampoo, normal shampoo and in desperation steradent that id use on her tail!! When i left the yard they were still er brown!! I have plasted her legs in a whitening spray so will see what they are like in the morning.
I am going to a show tomo!! Please any have any suggestions?? I have loads of chalk to apply. Anything else i can try? Please dont say clippers she is a traditional Hairy Mary Coblet!!

I have heard a few suggestions on this (my friend dyed her horse blue with some type of shampoo she didnt realise you had to dilute) Using beer was one suggestion, also salt was suggested! or diluted vinegar!

Sudocrem and chalk will just clog. Better to have clean but stained feathers than a sticky nasty mess. OR... Have you got any white spray from supreme?

Should be working.....

Was going to suggest steradent followed by blue shampoo - but you have tried that. I know it sounds odd but did you use warm water? They blue shampoos work better with warm water.

The only other thing would be Milton Sterilising solution - might be worth a try? Again use warm water and keep washing her legs with it so they are constantly wet for about 10 mins and then blue shampoo.

Hope it works - otherwise tell them she is actually tri - coloured.

Temsik, sorry to be blonde but surely Purple spray will dye them, well, purple. Though you could just go with it and make it a new craze I spose. Dye her whole sock purple

I wouldn't know TBH, but it sounds like one of those really weird thing that would work.

I just scrub with tea tree shampoo or johnsons baby shampoo, if its not white enough I don't stress much, but then again I don't show.

Oh dear god, i thought you had done it again.

I thought it would have gone back to normal by now.

What about the powdered chalk used for weightlifting, it is really white. I don't know what is allowed for showing.
Possibly speak to your hairdresser, not making a joke but she might possibly know what would work.
Not much help for tomorrow though, I am sure you will do great though. Let me know how you do. x

Now I know why my fly spray recipe has so little tea in it!

Buy some Curash baby powder and mix it into a soft paste with some warm water. Slather it on thick, rub in and bandage over something white. Leave to dry or overnight, in morning remove bandages and gently rub off excess dried powder. Should hide the stains.

Dye her legs BLACK!!!!!
