Decided to pop Tilly on some linseed as she has lost quite a bit of condition as she has gone up again!! Not looking to feed huge amounts but it has been suggested to feed it 4 or so times a week, about a mug each time. However, didn't think to ask what to do with the stuff!!
I know it must be boiled (could have got ready to feed stuff but that was £48/25kg - this was £11/30kgs!) but mum and I are now looking at a very sticky mess after 30mins on the hob and wondering if we are doing it right! My feeding book simply says to bring to the boil and simmer for 23-30mins. I now have expanded linseed seeds in a thick, gluey goo! Is this right. Also, having googled it there is mixed opinions on whether it should be soaked first?????
Also, anyone microwave it?
HELP!!
