and taking my boy with me... so need to find a yard for him in/around the Newcastle area.

Having always kept him at home I have no idea of how much prices are for keeping horses at Livery and what is included in price etc. Am in desperate need of help

Ideally I would like to have him on part livery with a stable at night and turnout during the day. He prefers being in as opposed to being out 24/7 so everyday turnout isn't a must so long as its at least some days during the week. School maybe?

Is part livery inclusive of hay and bedding also?
Is it quite easy to get on a yard or do you have to go on a waiting list?
What else should I be looking for?
There is so much for me to think about so i thought i'd start planning early!

Any help/advice is much appreciated! Thankyou

Whereabouts are you going to be? The main road links are pretty rubbish up here, especially at peak times, so you'd do well to pick a yard you can get to and from easily - especially when they close the A1 for repairs. I can definitely advise you where NOT to go if you pm me!!!

Whereabouts will you be based? Some areas don't have a great choice (I know, I'm based in one!) ... out into Northumberland proper or Durham seem to be the best areas for choice and facilities.
nudibranch - hope you don't mind if I pm you .. I'm looking at alternative yards at the moment and having only been in area for a couple of years, I'd really appreciate your opinion on some of the yards i'm thinking of looking at - thanks
PS - think giddy up is down for some reason - i haven't been able to get on either

Thanks guys... that gives me some ideas to start with! Im coming all the way up from Somerset so am really nervous!

Thought i'd best be organized though seeing as I have the horse think about!
Am moving up as my OH lives there... he works in Cramlington, currently lives in North Shields but is looking to move. He's quite easy on where to live so long as its not miles from where he works. So if i can get some ideas of where to/where not to look I can give him suggestions!

Nudibranch - will defo pm you for your advice!
The_Psephologist - thanks for all the links. Have been looking up things all last night...
