I've started giving my mare a daily massage (Ive also posted asking for book recommendations in NL ) which is really relaxing her BUT she has one really tender spot on her right side, over the loins.
She kicked out and snapped which is most unlike her.
She is fine with being brushed there but the deeper pressure has certainly brought 'something' to my attention.

Any ideas very welcome, Thanks

I would also get the saddler out to check her over. When I was having terrible problems with saddle fit on my mare she was always sore immediately behind the saddle not actually underneath it. Must be something to do with the way they tense and hold themselves when the fit isn't too good. Good Luck

Thanks guys, she has a visit from a Reiki practitioner booked for next week and her vet is coming AGAIN to retake her x rays for suspected navicular in a couple of weeks(when machine is fixed), I'll ask her to check her back. . I'll check out the physio situation/back person situation here, I'm not in the UK.
Thanks
