Hi, my 16 year old mare keeps pooing down her back legs and in her tail. The poo is solid but if I wash her legs in the evening they will be covered in stains and poo the next day.
She is on a small feed of top chop light and top spec light balancer (just a small scoop of each) and a medium size haynet of haylage (she has a dust allergy so can't have hay). She is out in the field in the day and comes in at night.
If I plait her tail she still poos down her legs.
Her stable is never too dirty but it is just her legs.
I don't know if it is just her or whether there is something I can do to try and help it?
Any suggestion would be great! Thanks!

Is she laying in it do you think? I find if you plait the tail it keeps it clean but if it's running down her legs there must be liquid as well, I know the grass is quite rich at the moment it might just be that you could put her on some protexin see if that helps.

I agree. Or pink powder. There is biotics also by NAF.
For those of you that use NAF products Countrywide Farmers have a 3 for 2 on their supplements at the moment with the cheapest free. Had a great deal at the weekend, bought Magic, pink powder and got a free garlic and mint granules packet which saved me about £12.
