help martingale stop

you know the little rubber thing? im trying to put that on my new martingale but its so tight ive tried soaking it in boiling water but its just so tight any ideas how to get it on???

Run it down the neck strap (thin strap) then when it gets to where the thicker middle strap is see if you can lever it with something and pull that through slowly and carefully.

Try manipulating it with your hands if possible to - I always think trying to pull them in different directions softens the rubber LOL!

get some baler twine and stretch it out long ways a few times, this should break down the elasticity just enough to get it on, but still hold the neck strap in place

nah the british racing school in newmarket not doncaster, why???

Oooo, I have been past it on the train! My sis got in at the Doncaster one, but bottled out the day before we took her!
There was anything like that when I left school, so make the best of it kid!

Tie two pieces of baler twine onto it, get someone to stretch it out whilst you push the martingale rings through, once you have them through just push it down to the position you want it. Easy peasy really, says Karen, who took ages trying to get one on and almost gave up till someone came along and showed me how - took two minutes after that!!
