Im looking to buy my youngster a nice english leather bridle, however, i want a standard or thin (ish) noseband, ive looked at some and the nosebands are really thick and would look awful on my girl, who has quite a long slender face.

Any advice on where or makes i can look at, i like the sabre bridles but they are quite expensive, but are they worth the money?

I love my Sabre bridle. Albeit it's a chunky Sabre Cordoba, it's fantastic! It's 7 years old and still very supple and has no cracking or marked leather. I'd say they're well worth the money :)

I'm a Jeffries fan too. You can buy all parts individually and they offer various widths of nosebands.

I would expect good leather to get more supple with age/use, not stiff, I have plenty of leatherwork that's years old and lovely and supple despite some of it having little use these days.

My sabre is fab. They were so helpful with all my questions and emails! They made me up a custom noseband and browband as I wanted it thicker for my Highland. I'm sure they would make it up thinner if you wanted. They were very careful about my measurements do the buckles all sit in the right place and I like having the bridle buckle on both sides, no more rotating nose bands!
